Doug Johnston is a Ph.D. student at UIC. He is a former MASS RA and currently studying ecology of green roofs.

Brenda Boelter is a M.S. student at Chicago State U. Her research is on the effects of prescribed fire on soil invertebrates.

Charlie Flower is a Ph.D. student at UIC. His work pertains to forest nutrient cycling and the emerald ash borer.

Vytas Pabedinskas is a Ph.D. student at U. Arizona. His research is on earthworms and urban composting.

Scott Howard is a M.S. at EIU. His research is on soil quality and plant health in the Schulenberg prairie.

Research assistant alumni

Sara Dreiser has a B.S. in Biology from Knox College. She is a MASS Research Assistant working on soil characterization of forest soils in Lake County, IL.
